Nebulous Solutions Launches Free Public WiFi in New Cumberland, PA.

New Cumberland to become one of the first Pennsylvania Cities offering free Internet access for everyone.

The city of New Cumberland, PA, is coming into the 21^st century with the installation of a city-wide wireless network, provided by Nebulous Solutions, Inc.  Nebulous Solutions, a local wireless Internet provider, is installing a solution that provides free wireless Internet access for the community, local businesses, and visitors.  Nebulous Solutions’ wireless Internet solution is unique.  Rather than using taxpayer funds to pay for the equipment, local area businesses pick up the tab through sponsorships and advertising on the www.newcumberlandwireless.com home page which is displayed to everyone who uses the wireless network.  The home page also displays information on local area businesses through a directory and an interactive map.  Additionally, a listing of community events can be found through an online calendar.

The city of New Cumberland’s Olde Town Association has been instrumental in making the launch of this city-wide system possible.  Their cooperation and partnership has helped get this initiative up and running.  The excitement of the Olde Town Association is not unfounded.  Local businesses also see the value in offering free wireless Internet access to the community as it showcases their services to a captive audience.  Through the support of local businesses, the community of New Cumberland should be credited and recognized for extending a valuable service to its citizens.

New Cumberland Free Wireless was created for local businesses and citizens who live, work and play in New Cumberland, as well as visitors to the area.  Anyone with a wireless network card can access New Cumberland Free Wireless.  Users simply connect to the wireless network and launch their web browser, which directs them to the community home page www.newcumberlandwireless.com. Users can then browse the Internet using the free WiFi service.

Initially, coverage will be available throughout New Cumberland Business District, from 6^th Street to Front Street, and Walnut Alley to Reno Street.  Expansion of the signal beyond downtown is planned to be done in phases.
